Welcome to my RRPictureArchives contributor site! Here, you will find all of my absolute BEST railroad photos from all over the Bay Area plus some not taken in the Bay Area! I am a major "Railfan" going to Bay Area cities to watch (and film) trains. Since starting railfanning in August of 2009, I have seen both passenger (Amtrak, ACE, and CalTrain) and freight (Union Pacific, BNSF, and Norfolk Southern) trains including Amtrak's version of the old Western Pacific California Zephyr, and UP's MRVSJ mixed freight. I've seen common locomotives, such as the GP38-2, SD70M, and the UPY GP15-1, and more rare locomotives like the SD60M. The rarest locomotive I've seen was an original SOO Line SD60 trailing on a manifest at the Grand/Cicero Metra Station in Chicago, IL. My favorite EMD locomotive is the SD40-2 followed by the SD70ACe and my favorite GE locomotive is the AC6000CW followed by the Dash 8-32BWH.
